Terms & Disclaimer

Plain-English terms for using this site. Reading them takes about two minutes, which is roughly one flight of stairs.

What this site is

This website describes the rubbish-removal services offered under the Elbow Room name in Manly and the surrounding southern-peninsula suburbs, and gives you ways to enquire about a job. Sending an enquiry does not create a booking or a contract; a job exists once we have confirmed it with you and you have accepted the fixed price.

Quotes and the stairs check

Every price is set individually, in person or from the details and photos you provide, and confirmed with you before work begins. Our will-it-come-down-the-stairs check and any other interactive tool on this site give general guidance about load size and access in plain language; they never produce a price, and their output is not a quote, an offer, or advice about your specific circumstances. If a tool's read and reality disagree, reality wins and so does the on-site assessment.

Content, images and accuracy

We keep the site's information about local rules, such as council collection schemes, accurate at the time of writing and link the official sources so you can check the current position. Those schemes change; the council's own pages are always the authority. Some images on the site are illustrative, stock or generated, rather than photographs of specific completed jobs, and they are used to show the kind of work we do, not to represent a particular customer's job.

What we do not take

Descriptions of services involving regulated waste streams describe how such material is handled in the industry, through licensed facilities. Hazardous material of any kind, gas bottles, chemical drums, asbestos, clinical waste, sits outside our scope and belongs with a licensed specialist. Nothing on this site is an offer to handle those materials.

Liability

So far as the law allows, and your Australian Consumer Law guarantees are untouched by anything here, we accept no liability for loss that comes from relying on general information on this site, from third-party links, or from the site being briefly unavailable. Where a right cannot be limited by law, this page does not pretend to limit it.

These terms

Using the site means these terms apply to that use. If they change, the current version lives at this address. Questions about them are welcome through the enquiry form.
