The stairs check

Will it come down the stairs?

Short answer: almost certainly, because carrying things down Manly stairwells is most of what we do. But if you want the longer answer for your actual pile and your actual stairs, press the buttons. It works like your buzzer: tell it what is up there, and we will tell you how we would come up.

1.What needs to go?
2.How far down is the street?
3.And the building?

The check gives you a plain answer, not a price. The price gets fixed in person, after we have seen the load and the landing, and before anything is lifted. That is the whole model.

Why stairs are in the price, not on top of it

Around three in four Manly homes are apartments, and a fair share of those are deco and red-brick walk-ups: no lift, no garage, a stairwell with one tight turn per landing. If we charged extra every time a couch met a staircase, we would be surcharging our own suburb for existing.

So we price the job as the job: the load, the carry, the trip to the right facility. The number you agree to on the landing is the number on the invoice, whether the landing is at street level or four flights up.

The one thing we will not load is the hazardous shelf: paint, gas bottles, chemicals, asbestos, anything clinical. That shelf belongs to licensed specialists, and we tell you so straight instead of quietly taking it. Everything else, down it comes.

Tell us what needs to go

Fill in the form and the callback comes from the crew, not a call centre. We look at the load, the whole number is settled before the first lift, stairs and all. Then it is carried down, swept up and gone, never left on the kerb.

  • Small jobs taken seriously, one couch is plenty
  • Fixed price agreed up front, no hourly surprises
  • Same-day where we can, booked around your building

We reply to every enquiry, usually the same day. No obligation, no price until we have seen the load, then it is fixed.
